Pastry Symphony artisan keycaps

I’m Augustino, and I’ve been one of the artisans here at Jelly Key for years now. But long before I ever poured a drop of resin, I was a pastry chef. I spent years on the line in little European kitchens, and the thing nobody tells you is that a good pastry was never really about the recipe. It’s about patience, and about love. You let the dough rest as long as it needs. You warm the butter slow and gentle. And that last rosette of cream, you set it down the very moment it’s ready, the way you’d tuck a blanket over someone you care about. When a kitchen truly finds its rhythm, the whole warm room starts to hum like an orchestra tuning up. Only the baker gets to hear it, and it’s one of the loveliest sounds I know.

Pastry Symphony is my attempt to write that music down, this time in cast resin instead of sugar and flour.

Three movements

I built the whole collection to play like a symphony in three movements. The crisp little tarts are the overture, bright and tender, the first soft notes that make you look up and smile. The cupcakes are the heart of the piece, where every voice comes in together: the sweetness of ripe strawberry, the deep cozy warmth of coffee, the quiet mystery of matcha and taro. And the long éclairs are the crescendo, the part where the chocolate spills over the edge, the caramel glows like amber, and the whole thing swells and gently breaks.

I named each piece the way I hold it in my heart, not by flavor but by its color and its mood. A clear little aria. A soft, low-lit noir. A sun. A moon. To me, baking and composing have always been the same tender trade wearing different aprons. Both come down to arranging small things with enough care that they add up to something with a soul.

Made entirely by hand

Every keycap is cast in resin and colored one gentle layer at a time, all by hand. No 3D printing, no pre-made shell hiding a fixed shape underneath. The hardest part was never making them look delicious. It was making them feel honest. So I kept the little imperfections on purpose: the caramel that drips a bit off-center, the cream that ripples instead of sitting perfectly smooth, the piped swirl that never quite closes into a perfect circle. That’s why no two are ever exactly alike, the same way no two pastries ever come out of a real oven the same. Every mark of the hand is a quiet promise that a person made this for you, not a machine.

I made Pastry Symphony for people who still believe in slow mornings, and in small objects that carry a story. When you set one on your keyboard and begin to type, I hope it sounds one warm, happy note in you. The same one you feel when you catch sight of your favorite pastry behind the glass of an old bakery, waiting right where you left it.
