I didn’t simply want to create beautiful keycaps—I yearned to capture the very soul of those beloved Gachapon machines, to recreate that magical moment when you crack open a capsule and uncover the unexpected.
I spent countless hours studying every intricate detail of Gachapon machines: from those familiar turning knobs and nostalgic coin slots, to the crystal-clear display chambers that revealed adorable little toys within. Every line, every detail on these keycaps has been meticulously crafted to evoke those cherished images. Each element features multi-layered casting with seamlessly blended color transitions and subtle galaxy effects that allow brilliant LED illumination when mounted on your keyboard. You’ll discover transparent display windows like miniature glass chambers, concealing within them exquisitely crafted tiny toys—energetic basketballs, adorable frog pond creatures, or even a beaming “Smile Pop” face—each intricate detail measuring just 3.6mm yet capable of surprising you completely.
But beyond recreating the visual, I wanted to capture the emotion itself.
