Ten Years – A Journey of Crystal-Clear Dreams

Ten years, say it’s long, it ain’t exactly long; say it’s short, it ain’t quite short either. But for us, it’s been a vibrant chunk of youth, a time where dreams were planted and nurtured day by day in the heart of every team member. Agustino and I, now both 38, can still picture that day in June 2015 like it was yesterday—the day we laid the first bricks for Jelly Key. We dared to dream differently, to create differently, pioneering transparent artisan keycaps that shimmered like crystal, instead of just pouring solid colors like everyone else. From there, the first artisan spacebars and enter keycaps hit the market, ushering in a new era. We weren’t afraid to experiment with wild materials: rustic wood, natural pinecones, old clock gears, or even challenging raw oil pigments. Every step was a first, every mark unmistakably Jelly Key.

From the very start, we carved a philosophy deep into our souls: never stop challenging ourselves, always innovate in our craft, and never shy away from risk. I love the struggles, even the failures, because they’ve forged us into true craftsmen, real artisans. If I were to list every pioneering design, every unique idea, every grueling groupbuy, or every crafting hurdle we’ve faced, it’d be an endless story. But on this journey, what I want to say most is a heartfelt thank you. Thanks to the customers who believed in us, thanks to the staff and artisans at Jelly Key who’ve walked this path with us. Y’all turned my youth into magic, a wondrous journey I’ll treasure forever.

Ten years ago and ten years from now, some things never change. We’re still tirelessly refining our skills, still finding joy in every keycap we craft, no matter how many storms come our way. The Covid-19 pandemic, the fierce competition from 3D-printed keycaps in the market—none of it could shake us. We chose to stay true to our path, protecting the art of handmade resin as the soul of Jelly Key’s treasures. Because for us, each keycap isn’t just a product; it’s a story, a passion, a dream we’ve poured into it.

Once again, I wanna say thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown us. To celebrate 10 years, we’ve chosen a simple, quiet way to mark the occasion. Three special designs were created, centered around the image of a small, adorable birthday cake—a gift we’re giving to ourselves. No loud teasers, no grand groupbuys, just a silent tribute to y’all. And this time, I’ve decided to bring the pricing back to what it was 10 years ago, when we first introduced the Starry Night keycap—as a way to reflect on the journey we’ve traveled and to thank those who’ve always been by our side.

It’s truly been an honor to be part of your keyboard journey over the past 10 years. We’ve grown together, matured together, and written the most beautiful chapters of this crystal-clear dream together.
