Dawn Hoofbeats is my way of holding that moment right before morning breaks. In many Asian traditions, the horse is more than a symbol of luck. It is stamina. It is momentum. It is the promise that after a long road, something brighter still arrives. I wanted these keycaps to feel like that. Soft at first glance, but full of life when light hits them.

This collection includes eight colorways, each one built like a small memory of the season. Some are cool and misty, like early morning air and incense drifting through a quiet room. Some carry a warm glow, like kitchen light before the day begins. Others lean brighter, like the first sunbeam that makes everything feel new again.

Every piece is fully hand cast in resin. We do not 3D print keycaps for production. Each cap is poured layer by layer, color by color, to create real depth and translucency. It takes time to get the tones right and the light to travel cleanly through the resin. If it doesn’t feel right, we start over. That patience is the craft.

Even though it’s the holiday and most people are already off, we pushed to finish the horse prototypes for this year’s Lunar New Year. We wanted to complete the story, open the group buy, and only then let ourselves rest.
