A charm rides on your bag. A bead rides in your hand

There is a real difference in that. A bag is something you carry along for the ride. A knife, a pen, a torch – those are the things you reach for. They are the tools you can find in the dark, your fingers closing around them out of pure muscle memory because you have done it a thousand times before. A bead sits right there on the lanyard, meeting your palm every single time you go to work. It is not decorative and it is not kept at a distance. It is in the middle of everything.

That is where we wanted Dawn Hoof to be. The same four legs thrown forward mid-sprint, the same face full of unreasonable joy, now riding a torch or a blade the way he used to ride a bag. Still grinning. Still convinced that wherever the day is going, it is going to be a good one. He is the same horse from the Dawn Hoof charm, only closer to the action now.

The same horse, a different shape

To get him there, the form had to shift. Not the character, only the shape. The changes are quiet ones, the kind you would only catch if you had spent enough time holding the original charm to know every curve of it by heart. We noticed them, and we could not leave them alone.

Poured by hand, one colour at a time

Every Dawn Hoof bead is hand-cast in resin at our studio, layer by patient layer. No printers and no surface paint: each colour is poured and cured on its own pass, which is what gives the bead its depth and its weight in the palm. Because all of it is done by hand, no two beads come out quite the same.

Each bead is drilled through for a cord, and a cord comes in the box. Tie it on, knot it tight, or braid a lanyard of your own.

Three quieter finishes

Ashstone, Rusttide and Moonforge came later, made for the people who asked for something calmer than the originals. Same bead, same hand-cast resin, just a lower voice.

Ashstone stays closest to the prototype: plain grey, black in the details, aged so it reads as something already carried. Rusttide leans copper with a little green worked into it. Moonforge is metallic silver with a light gold wash along the belly. All three sit at the lower price of the range.
